The Forest Showcase Food & Drink Festival is back in the Speech House Hotel grounds on Sunday 2nd October 2016.

The recipe for the weekend? We'll take over 100 top local and artisan producers, a big serving of stunning hot food, add a dash of real ale and wine, interesting talks, parent & child cookery lessons and lots of children’s activities, top chef demonstrations, stir in a competition or two with lashings of excellent live music,  and arts & crafts, mix together to make a lovely foodie family day out.

Abergavenny Food Festival

Abergavenny Food Festival is the biggest and best-loved food festival in Wales. Established in 1999, it was set up to celebrate the craft, diversity and culture of food from across the country. The award winning festival now exhibits over 200 of the finest food and drink producers, a variety of expert demonstrations and a line-up of outstanding and well-known chefs, welcoming over 30,000 visitors to the beautiful market town each year.

The Festival is embedded in the centre of the town, so there’s unique sense of place which makes the event really special. Never been before? Then do join us this September and discover its particular magic for yourself.

Come rain or shine around two hundred exhibitors will set up shop in the five market venues and central streets. Take a leisurely stroll. Get talking to our producers. They’re passionate about what they make and how they make it. There’s an unparalleled range of food and drink on offer.

Monmouth Festival

Situated in the beautiful historic Welsh border town Monmouth Festival is a nine day festival offering the unique atmosphere of yesteryear festivals in the here and now.  Monmouth Festival, a Non for Profit organisation, is organised by a committee of unpaid hard working passionate volunteers for the people of Monmouth town and the surrounding areas.  Attracting visitors from all over the world, it is proud to be considered one of the longest running, largest and best free volunteer organised festivalsin Europe.

Music is the very essence of Monmouth Festival. We take great delight in showcasing an eclectic mix of iconic legends, local artists and up and coming young talent, dance, classical, country, folk, jazz, pop, rock’n roll, ska, world music and so much more. Our aim is to enable everyone to enjoy a live music performance whether it is in the open air, in a church or pub; whether it is an old favourite, new or local talent, there is something to please everyone.

Throughout its 34 years the Festival has got bigger and better and now includes the Carnival, Busking Festival and a growing Fringe.  The Festival prides itself on being extremely friendly, relaxed and an opportunity for families and all generations of people to come together and enjoy themselves.

Coleford Music Festival

If you are not familiar with the festival, it’s the Forest if Dean’s best kept secret – a fantastic free outdoor festival in Coleford town centre held every summer featuring an eclectic mix of music, art, culture & community….everything from Jazz, indie, rock, ska, rockabilly, folk, blues & much more.

The festival consists of a main stage featuring the best of local bands with national headliners to finish, roots stage featuring the best of jazz, blues, country ..St Johns Street stage featuring new bands from the area, acoustic area, lots of children’s entertainment & workshops, street food, stalls & local produce.

The Festival prides itself on being extremely friendly, relaxed and an opportunity for families and all generations of people to come together and enjoy themselves.

It is organised by a not for profit group in partnership with Coleford Town Council and  with the help of many passionate unpaid volunteers. It is for the people of Coleford & the surrounding areas but attracting visitors from all over, helping to raise the profile of the area.

Chepstow Festival

Chepstow Festival

The Chepstow Arts and Community Festival is a month long celebration of theatre, music and creativity in the town. With over 60 events being staged by a wide range of community groups. Planning for this years (2016) Festival is underway and the first full Festival meeting will be on 2nd March at 7:30 PM in the council chamber, Gatehouse, High Street, Chepstow.

As the programme develops it will be shown on the website with all details and events being finalised in early May.

The Festival will culminate on 24 July with a 200th anniversary celebration of the opening of Chepstow's historic Cast iron bridge.

This summer there are 13 exciting theatre productions in Chepstow Castle by Britain's top professional touring open-air theatre companies. Since 2012 we have had the benefit of the audience cover which keeps audiences of over 250 dry in the event of rain.
